About
A nurse who has lived the caregiver journey
I have worked in a variety of community settings and organizations, and I have always been an advocate for older adults and their families. My passion is helping people plan for long-term care needs, manage the crises that bring long-term care into their lives, and stay independent in their own homes for as long as possible.
My commitment comes from my own family as well as my clinical work. As a very young woman I watched my grandmother decline after she was placed in a nursing home, and I vowed to help the people I love age at home. Later I cared for my father and my mother-in-law.
When my father was offered hospice care, I told him that hospice was not only about dying; it was also about how he chose to live before he died. He went on to take the trip he had been saving for.

Caregiver coaching
Start with the problem in front of you
You do not need to know what caregiver coaching means. Bring the situation that is keeping you up at night, and together we find the next practical step. Every conversation starts with a free 15-minute consultation.
Care plan clarity
Turn an overwhelming list of tasks into a manageable plan with clear priorities.
Hospital discharge
Prepare for a hospital or rehab discharge and avoid gaps in the move home.
Dementia care roadmap
Make sense of changing behaviors, safety concerns and the decisions likely to come next.
Burnout recovery
Find what is draining you most and build a realistic plan for boundaries and support.
Family care decisions
Prepare for difficult family conversations and share responsibilities fairly.
Healthcare navigation
Understand medical language, ask better questions and advocate with confidence.
I also work with hospitals and care managers, employers, elder law and financial teams, and senior living and home care providers who want the families they serve to have a trusted nurse to call.
“Hospice was not only about dying; it was also about how he chose to live before he died.”

Caregiver Relief
You are not alone
Many people caring for a loved one with dementia feel misunderstood, alone and unsupported. I founded Caregiver Relief to change that, with practical communication approaches that make everyday moments clearer and less stressful for caregivers and the people they care for.
I will not pretend every part of caregiving is easy. Together, we can work toward a caregiving experience that strengthens the relationship.
